“Since record buyers made it clear that 50 Cent is no longer the most relevant artist in hip-hop, he’s decided to recreate the entire genre according to his needs. In an interview with Rolling Stone, 50 Cent that his new album would challenge what is thought of as hip-hop:

Usually, the phrase “reinvent the wheel” is an idiomatic statement suggesting that there is no need to re-create something that is otherwise functioning perfectly.  According to Wikipedia:

“As it is not considered to have operational flaws, an attempt to reinvent it would be pointless and add no value to the object, and would be a waste of time, diverting the investigator’s resources from possibly more worthy goals which his or her skills could advance more substantially.”

Just over a month since undergoing surgery following a heart attack, Gang Starr MC Guru (born Keith Elam) has died at age 43. According to a statement, Guru died of cancer-related causes on Monday after a long fight with the disease.
