Pretty interesting categorization of hip-hop acts that I hadn’t thought of before but it makes a lot of sense. I think the definition will get blurry in the long run (i.e. is Lupe Fiasco hipster because of his sense of style and the way he carries himself?) but it’s a good start. Without further ado, THHP provides us with a list of the Top 5 Hipster Rap groups and the reason they made the cut.

And another Legend leaves this place, R.I.P. Guru!
Just over a month since undergoing surgery following a heart attack, Gang Starr MC Guru (born Keith Elam) has died at age 43. According to a statement, Guru died of cancer-related causes on Monday after a long fight with the disease.
