This show was ill. Last time I saw him was at USC (my heart goes out to the Trojans tonight). The homie Sebastian hooked it up with the cool but small photo you see below (iphone); that was the venue if you couldn’t tell and the view was fresh. Good look by the DJ to bump “Empire State of Mind” to warm up the crowd against that backdrop.

Lupe Fiasco showcased “Shining Down” from his upcoming Lasers and ran through tracks from his prior albums. Check below for footage of “Little Weapon,” “Shining Down,” “Hip-Hop Saved My Life” and “Paris, Tokyo.” Unfortunately, I messed up with the Flip Cam and did not record Lupe doing a dope performance of “Nas is Like.” He also went on to say “Nas is my favorite emcee.” Can you see the influence?
PS – 88 Keys still can’t rock a crowd.
PPS – “I’m not a douche!”
EDIT: Someone posted footage of Lupe covering “Nas Is Like” (below)

Woah! I’m really loving the template of this website http://oghiphop.com/2009/09/lupe-fiasco-live-from-nyc-concert-footage. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that good balance between usability and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a very good job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very quick for me on Internet explorer. Excellent Blog!
