European Producer Spotlight: Crada

Life’s still not easy for European producers. Even though we are living in the Myspace era and the beats doesn’t have to hide, the productions are still rare on American major LP’s.

Same thing happening in Germany. Producers are working with German heavyweights, having hits, while they still slightly known in the US. Unlike Crada.

The Frankfurt based producer/songwriter is responsible for the latest D-Block single “Get That Paper” and most recently landed a beat on Kid Cudi’s major debut album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day. Crada has the German rap media going nuts, reason enough to invite the shooting star to a little interview.

Carsten: What’s up Crada? Thanks for taking the time and hanging with us. For those who are unfamiliar with you, please go ahead and introduce yourself.

Crada: Sure. My name is Crada and I am a 27 year old producer/songwriter located in Frankfurt, Germany.

Carsten: What are your main musical influences?

Crada: Mainly it’s east coast rap of the late 90s such as Onyx and of course the Wu Tang Clan. But I also got influenced by a lot of different styles of music. I started DJing when I was 13 and that was basically when I started digging for UK-Breakbeat-Records by artists like The Prodigy, which were pretty rare in my small bavarian hometown.
